VIP Tours Amsterdam is an initiative by Pieter Koenders: 20 years’ experience as Director of Corporate Communications for publicly listed companies and 12.5 years’ experience as CEO of a strategic consultancy and design agency.

Entrepreneur, artist (painter), writer, speaker, chairman, and historical storyteller, specialised in the history of Amsterdam. Pieter studied Urban Planning & Urban Geography at VU University Amsterdam. He is also scientifically specialised in the history of Amsterdam. Pieter gives lectures on Amsterdam and captivates his audience with unique knowledge and stories.

He is a true atmosphere maker and knows every canal, canal house, street, or alley in Amsterdam and can effortlessly find old pubs and cozy eateries!
